1) Compared to the TT, it is boring. I am using a normal human being that is interested in driving as a baseline for the driver who will be experiencing said emotion. A social deviant or sociopath might find a regular NA VG30 to be more exciting than driving a TT VG30, to that I dont know what to say except perhaps they might have other things to worry about. 2) The Z32, in full form, is the TT. Every serious review of it, from the Top ten list in C&D etc, was of the TT model. the NA model was the inferior model. It had its place to those that valued fuel economy, didnt want to spend the extra money, couldnt handle the power, etc. Nowhere was it a more exciting purchase than the TT...no one test drove a TT, said it was too boring and picked up an NA instead (unless they were mentally lacking, deviant etc). Current 328i owners to 335i owners, S class to AMG etc. No one in any magazine I ever read when the car was in production ever gave a crap about the NA, and when they did, were sure to mention that this was the less powerful version to the real VG30DETT. 3) I never knocked anyone for being a NA owner. Thats silly. I remember opening my hood and hearing disappointment at local Z meets, "oh thats not a TT??? WACKKK". Ive been on your end of the spectrum. Ive even gotten heat for being a stock TT owner! I mentioned to the OP in person (hes a local) that since hes doing his own manual swap, someone of that mechanical aptitude should definitely have a TT in their life, since many NA owners cannot afford to have one due to the financial limitations of upkeep that being a TT owner involves (turbos blowing, etc). It was definitely a fear of mine. 4)Thank you for coming out to support the NA cause. lol. Save it man, I dont hate on NAs, like I said, its silly. Whats even more silly is limiting your Z experience to 190 at the wheels, though. nothing cool about that. 5) Self proclaimed expert opinion? Since I have never proclaimed to be an expert on anything youre aware of, I will go ahead and say youre mad. Nothing to be mad at, but if you wanna e-grudge, join the list.
